This picture was taken when Mr. Kubota accompanied his young son on a school outing to the theme park in Myoko. It was a good crowd, not too big, and there were no long queues for any of the popular rides. However a staff member with his back to the camera on the right hand side remained fully attentive to the visitors in case anything occurred that required his assistance. He was from nearby Haradori where generations of his family had been farmers. They were pleased that the theme park had opened here recently. He was happy as he had an unusual job which excused him from helping his father in the fields. It was an interesting job for him as he got to meet people from all walks of life. And on a less busy day he also might allow his friends free rides.
這是久保田先生陪伴兒子參加學校活動，到 Sunshine Land 主題公園遊玩時所拍攝的。 當日氣氛不錯，但遊人不算太多，不用怎麼等候就可以乘玩各種機動遊戲。但是右邊背 向鏡頭的一位工作人員也不清閒，他要留意四周情況，萬一有什麼事故都可以即時協助。 他家在不遠的原通，幾代都是農民，幸好樂園不久前在這裏開幕，讓他有機會找到這份 特別的工作，不用幫忙父親下田。他覺得這份工作蠻有意思，可以接觸不同的人，收入 又不錯 ;遊客較少的日子，朋友要來玩的話，他還會偷偷地讓他們逃票。

この写真は、久保田さんの息子の学校の課外活動に付き添って、妙高のテーマパーク を訪れたときに撮られたものである。程よい人の数、それほど大きくもなく、どのア トラクションにもそれほど待たずに乗ることができた。そうは言うものの、写真の右 端に映る、背中を向いたひとりのスタッフは、求めに応じて動けるよう常に園内の客 に気を配り続けていた。彼は原通りの近くの出身で、家族は代々農家だった。その家 族は皆、こうした娯楽施設がオープンしてくれたことがとても嬉しかった。彼も、普 段とは違う仕事をしていて幸せだったし、そのおかげで父の手伝いをしないでいい口 実ができた。様々な種類の人々と接するこの仕事は、彼にとって意義のあるものだっ た。あまり忙しくない日には、友人にただ乗りさせたりもしていた。
