In this photo a very young Takagi-san stands in the centre looking at the camera. She was on a short summer vacation with her mother (standing behind her) at the Children’s Village. Toddlers made new friends while the bigger kids were running around. The boy in checkered shirt on the left was busy trying to capture bugs with his friend but had to stop for the others to take pictures. He was obsessed with rhinoceros beetles, they were big and he thought their horn was so cool. He wanted to create a rhinoceros beetle tank for Atom (Astro Boy). He would make the horn the gun.

この写真は、中央でカメラをみている小さな高木夫人が、子ども村で母親（彼女の後ろに立っている）と一緒に短い夏休みを過ごした時のものだ。 幼児たちは新しい友達を作っていたが、大きな子どもたちは走りまわっていた。左側のチェック柄のシャツを着た少年は、仲間たちと虫を捕まえるのに忙しく、止まるのは写真を撮る時だけだった。彼は大きくて、ツノがとてもかっこいいカブトムシに夢中だった。彼は鉄腕アトムのためにカブトムシのかたちをした戦車を開発したかったのだ。つまり、そのツノは銃になるのである。
