Post-Ikea Display

Various ready-made objects, MDF with high-gloss white foil finish, approx. 1.5x2.2x2.3m, 2005, commissioned for the 2nd Guangzhou Triennale

Post-Ikea Display is an installation of wooden boxes made according to the negative space seen in some of the images from Domestica Invisibile, such as that underneath the desk. These glossy furniture-like boxes will contain the diversity of our daily objects from clothes, utencils, to books & food in order to produce the contrast of the organized confusion.

Finally all the objects were collected from the office of the Guangdong Museum of Art.
