Untitled (Names to Recall Memory but Not Exactly)

inkjet print on opaque vinyl stickers, dimensions variable, 2012

Located on the curtain wall next to the entrance of the Arts Centre, the third piece Untitled (Names to Recall Memory but Not Exactly) was made as a reflection of the whole project with all those names from the list randomly placed and interlaid with each other constituting the painting by one of the most mentioned artist from the interviews, however out of focus here.

On top of it, a direct quote from one of the interviewees on his vague memory of an artist was printed as “What does he do? I’m only familiar with his name. I know he’s from the art field but nothing else.” In both Chinese and English.
