Asia's World City in exhibitions

All banners previously displayed in the public space of Stuttgart are moved to Berlin as part of the exhibition Paradise is Elsewhere except two which were missing by the end of the exhibition in Stuttgart.Goethe Institut Hongkong (solo exhibition)

The photo documentation of the 12 vinyl banners intalled in Hollywood Road are hanged amid the wall text of the Wish List in both Chinese and English. The only surviving original banner** is on display together with a new photo series Something about Asia's World City but not exactly.... * as an extension of the project. There are also free posters of the Wish List in three languages for visitors.

Ifa Stuttgart (group exhibition Paradise Is Elsewhere)
Besides the adapted installation of the text; photo documentation and selected works from Something about Asia's World City but not exactly...., a new set of 12 vinyl banners in German are produced and on display in public space.

**It is the only original banner saved from the street as it was hanged in a semi-private area. All the rest have been taken down by the authority in the first week after the installation. Usually unlicensed banners will be removed on the same day!

*Something about Asia's World City but not exactly..... is also the title of an exhibition of 5 artists that I curated for Substation in Singapore in 2005.
